A History of Past Adventist Risk Management Outreach Programs
Since 1994 Adventist Risk Management has been actively involved in raising funds for Adventist lay ministries in the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Over the past 13 years ARM has contributed to organizations such as the Portland Adventist Community Services in Portland, Oregon; the Good Neighbor house in Dayton, Ohio, the Center for Family Wholeness in Houston, Texas; Bridges for Eternity in Milwaukee, Wiscosin; the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank in Nova Scotia, Canada, Holbrook Indian School in Arizona, and many other community service organizations across North America and Canada.
In 2002 ARM pioneered the Community Plunge program, a multi-faceted outreach event that provides all conference attendees with the opportunity to make a difference through service in the local communities where the Risk Management Conferece is held. Over the years we have contributed more than 5,000 man-hours in community service and raised more than $200,000 in funds for various projects. See current projects for Corpus Christi, Texas.
Each year ARM, along with its contributing partners raise funds for a charity associated with the church. This year we are proud to work with the Northeastern and Greater New York Conferences as we assist in helping the individuals within the Long Island communities. Read more.
