ARM South America Appoints New Director

July 18, 2024

Brasilia, Brazil, July 18, 2024 — João Adilson Rodrigues has been appointed by the Officers of Adventist Risk Management as the General Director of ARM South America, effective immediately.

Born in São José do Cerrito, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Rodrigues has extensive experience in administration and finance, with a degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Business Management.

Rodrigues began his career in pastoral ministry in 1993 and was ordained in 2012. He began work as a treasurer in 1996 at Educational Home and Health Service (SELS) of the Santa Catarina Conference in Brazil and became an assistant treasurer in 1997.

In 2000, Rodrigues accepted an invitation to serve as an assistant treasurer at the North Parana Conference, becoming treasurer in December 2003. In November 2009, Rodrigues was appointed treasurer of the South Parana Conference and later held the same position at the East São Paulo Conference.

Married to Juliana Rodrigues, he is the father of two sons, Eduardo and Leonardo.

According to James Winegardner, president of Adventist Risk Management, the long trajectory in the Adventist organization stands out as a great differential for the position that João Adilson will take on as director of ARM South America. “We are confident that he will contribute significantly to the strengthening of our mission and values."
