This Privacy Policy sets forth the practices of Adventist Risk Management, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “ARM”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”) with respect to PII (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”) collected from individuals and entities through this website (hereinafter referred to as Site). Individuals and entities this policy applies to include but are not limited to: ARM’s employees and agents, policyholders of the insurance companies served by ARM, and the general public (collectively referred to herein as “Participating Organizations” or “you”).
This policy applies to PII collected by various websites owned and operated by us through including but not limited to: as a result of adjusting claims, accepting applications for insurance policies, and maintaining mailing lists. This privacy policy describes the choices available to you regarding the use of your information, and how you access this information to update and correct it.

Any personal information provided to or gathered by ARM is controlled by ARM and its wholly owned subsidiaries.
We recognize the sensitive nature of your information. It is our priority to ensure the confidentiality of any information you provide and take a proactive approach to protecting your privacy. When using our services you may provide us with PII including but not limited to names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, spousal and family information, educational history, employment information, medical information, financial information and Social Security/National Insurance Numbers.
When you interact with ARM, we may receive and store information collected actively and passively through various technologies used on our Sites. This information may be used for purposes not limited to the performance of our business or to provide us with statistical information such as the number of visitors to a Site, the number of visitors to each page of our services, or to assist us in adjusting a claim.
In operating our services as described above, our third-party partners and we use cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy located in the footer of this site. These technologies are used to provide additional functionality, analyze usage and behavior more accurately, temporarily store our pages and images, and store content and preferences. We also partner with third parties to either display advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. We use PII and other information to provide services, send updates, administer accounts, communicate, improve services, conduct research, and send valuable information and newsletters. The security of your information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards such as SSL/TLS encryption to protect the personal information submitted to us. We may provide your information to third-party service providers that help us with our business activities such as adjusting insurance claims, shipping, marketing and financial activities. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. We may disclose your PII if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: 1) comply with a legal obligation such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, 2) protect and defend the rights or property of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the services and visitors to our Site, centers, or the public, 4) protect against legal liability, and/or 5) if the organization is involved in a merger, acquisition or safe of all or a portion of the assets. You will be notified with a notice on our Site of any change in ownership or uses of your information as well as any choices you may have.
This Site may contain links to other sites or features that may connect you with other mobile sites or applications. Privacy practices of linked sites and mobile applications may differ from ours. If you submit any personal information on these sites or applications, your information is governed by their privacy practices. We strongly suggest that you review the privacy policies of such sites before submitting any personal information.
If your PII changes, you no longer desire our service, or wish to know whether we hold PII about you, you may request to view, correct, update, amend, and delete such information by contacting us using the email address and/or address provided below. In your request, include your name, address, the name of the service you wish to update, and the nature of your request. We will make diligent efforts to respond to your inquiry within 30 days, so long as it is permissible by law to fulfil your request.
We will retain your information for as long as your account or claim is active or as long as it is reasonably useful for other organizational purposes. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and perform business activities. In particular, and if no such contradicting statutory or regulatory obligation exists, ARM will delete your PII once you inform ARM that you do not want us to further process your PII. ARM uses TrustArc, a third party vendor, to process data privacy requests. To submit a data privacy request, please fill out our

DPO@adventistrisk.org. Please note that in this case the use of certain services or offerings may either be limited or no longer possible. In case there is a contradicting statutory or regulatory obligation for ARM to retain your PII, we will block it against further processing and then delete the relevant PII when the requirement to retain it has ceased.
How can you access or correct your personal information, request that it be deleted, or ask for it to be transferred to another organization?
At any time, you can request access to your personal information, request that any inaccuracies be corrected, and request that comments or explanations be added to records about you.
You can also ask about:
- whether and why we have your personal information;
- how we got your personal information;
- what we have done with your personal information;
- to whom we have communicated your personal information;
- where your personal information has been stored, processed or transferred;
- how long we will retain your personal information, or how that retention period will be determined; and
- the safeguards in place to protect your information when it is transferred to third parties or third countries.
Finally, you can ask us not to collect or use your personal information for certain purposes, you can ask us to delete your personal information, or you can ask us to provide your personal information to a third party.
We may refer any of these requests to our client (if joint data controller) if your personal information was collected on behalf of that client.
Depending on which laws apply to your personal information, we or our client (if joint data controller) may only be able to do some of these things for you. If you request one of these things and we refuse to do it, we will explain your legal rights, the reason for our refusal and any recourse you may have.
We will make diligent efforts to respond to your inquiry within 30 days, so long as it is permissible by law to fulfil your request. ARM reserves the right to take reasonable steps to verify customer identity prior to granting access or processing changes or corrections.
This Site is a general audience site, although it contains information that may be of interest to children. However, ARM does not seek through this Site to gather PII from or about persons age 16 years or younger.
PII collected on our websites may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which ARM or its subsidiaries, affiliates or joint ventures maintain facilities, including countries which may not have data protection laws similar to the laws in the country from which you initially provided the information. By choosing to use our websites and to provide data to them, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
