Next week, more than 50 thousand Adventists will gather in San Antonio, Texas for the 60th General Conference Session, the quinquennial business meeting for the global Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Adventist Risk Management, Inc. (ARM), the worldwide risk management service for the Adventist Church, will be on the ground at Session in several ways to keep you safe and to provide for your needs. Here’s where you can find us:
On-Site Claims Office
“With an on-site office, we’re able to care for our clients right away, rather than sending their claims through the normal 4-6 week process,” says Irma Johnson, Claims Manager for ARM. “Our goal is to process a claim within 24 to 48 hours.”
With such a large number of people traveling, accidents and illness can occur. ARM has designed a special travel insurance policy for those traveling to GC Session. Benefits include accidental death and dismemberment, emergency evacuation, repatriation of remains, trip cancellation and lost personal baggage.
“For example, some people arrive, but their luggage doesn’t,” Johnson says. “Their short-term travel insurance can provide funds that will allow them to buy what they may need in terms of toiletries, clothes, and other personal items.”

On the Ground
Gideon and Arthur will identify hazards during GC Session and suggest corrective measures to prevent injuries from taking place. As part of their mission to keep you safe, they will each share a Session Safety Tip of the Day. When you see them in their bright orange shirts with “Safety Officer” on the back, take a selfie with them and share it on social media with the Safety Tip of the Day. Tag your post #ARMCares and #TeamArthur or #TeamGideon. The team who shares the most safety tips wins!
Not going to Session? You can still join the fun! Look for posts labeled #ARMCares and share/retweet them.
