Risk management culture begins and ends with awareness. You can begin by getting in the loop with ARM's free Safety Resources and Risk Training Center.
Here are 7 best practices to do this year:
- Know the Biblical essence of risk management: Stewardship. Keep your ministry in a stewardship mindset.
- Promote risk awareness by starting a Safety Committee or volunteering as Safety Officer.
- Create a Risk Management Plan and review process to make sure that facilities and vulnerable populations are well supervised and cared for.
- Create an Emergency Response Plan for severe weather, fires, and missing child situations, etc.
- Practice drills. An easy way to conduct these is by participating in our yearly Safety Sabbath.
- Start a Preventative Maintenance Program and use certified contractors. Ensure that volunteers do not take on tasks outside their skill levels including roofing, electrical work, landscaping etc.
- Lastly, stay connected. Subscribe to our official Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages and give us a like or leave a comment.
